Welcome to the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) Foundation, where our dedicated team tirelessly works to secure funding for the university's identified programs and projects. We are committed to maintaining fruitful relationships with our stakeholders, both longstanding and prospective, to fulfil NUST's strategic objectives.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals, each excelling in their respective fields, collaborating seamlessly to uphold NUST's brand ethos and drive towards excellence.

VISION

The vision of the NUST Foundation department is to establish a high-performing entity adept at raising funds to propel the university's strategic objectives forward.

We aim to foster active engagement with various entities including the corporate sector, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), embassies, government bodies, and the wider community, integrating them into the fabric of university life.

We strive to maintain relevance in our communication strategies with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with evolving needs and expectations.

MISSION

  • Our mission is to lead by example, championing innovative fundraising practices, stewardship, and advocacy initiatives.
  • We strive to establish a committed network of regional, national, and international benefactors, comprising students, faculty, alumni, and supporters of the university. By proficiently administering resources, including an expanding endowment, our goal is to alleviate funding shortfalls, bolster professorships, fellowships, research initiatives, pioneering academic initiatives, and advanced facilities.

Main Objective:

To enhance the alumni experience by fostering student-alumni interactions and providing seminars, internships, and educational opportunities. We aim to create a networking platform to build relationships among past, present, and future alumni.

Vision:

The NUST Alumni Association envisions a connected NUST community where alumni engagement enriches student and alumni welfare and supports the university's growth.

Mission:

Our mission is to meet the diverse needs and interests of our community by building strong, lasting relationships with alumni, students, parents, and friends of the university.

The NUST Foundation fundraising team works diligently to secure funding for the university, supporting various programs and projects. We maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and seek new partnerships to benefit NUST. Our team consists of experienced professionals dedicated to ensuring NUST's brand is well-represented.

To become a leading entity in fundraising, driving the university's strategic objectives and goals. We promote active engagement with the corporate world, state-owned enterprises, NGOs, embassies, non-profits, government entities, and the community in university activities.

Our mission is to lead and inspire through innovative fundraising ideas and best practices, building a committed base of donors regionally, nationally, and internationally. By managing a growing endowment, we aim to supplement government funding, support professorships, fellowships, research, academic programs, and facilities. This enables us to advance NUST's mission, promoting excellence in education, research, and societal impact.

Main Functions:

  • Play a crucial role in advancing the objectives and goals of the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
  • Raise funds and engage in partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the institution's objectives while upholding principles of accountability and transparency.
  • Build and expand strong partnerships with both private and public entities, identify influencers, and engage more corporations and foundations to support academic programs, research activities, and facility needs.
  • Raise and manage private support for the institution, ensuring donor intent is honored through corporate governance. Maintain honesty, integrity, accountability, and transparency in all operations and transactions

  • Our existence is predicated on raising and managing private support for the institution, always respecting donor intent.
  • Through stringent corporate governance practices, we uphold principles of honesty, integrity, accountability, and transparency across all operations and transactions.
