1. ABOUT US

The NUST Writing Unit exists to provide English language use and writing support to NUST students and staff. We provide a place where all NUST students can get help with their writing.  We offer half-hour one-on-one teaching and learning, where students work closely with consultants at every stage of the writing process. Walk-ins are welcome if a consultant is available, but students are encouraged to make online appointments using our online booking form.  The Writing Unit is not a proofreading or editing service—our goal is to teach students to write independently.

2. OUR SERVICES

• Tutorials
  We offer half hour to an hour, one-on-one and group tutorials to assist students improve their writing throughout their academic journey.
• Workshops
  We design and conduct writing related workshops on request.
• Editing
  The Writing Unit does not proofread or edit documents. However, we have a list of private editors who can edit documents on request for N$35 per page (2017-2018 price). When you need your thesis or any other document edited, you can contact the Unit and be connected to one of the editors on the list who you will have to pay privately.

3. OUR STAFF

When you come to the Writing Unit you will find a team of very capable consultants ready to assist you. We believe in a student-centred approach to learning and thus our team makes every effort to make each session relevant to whoever we are serving.
