FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs): NUST GRADUATION

By checking on your Academic Record if it reads “Obtain Degree” The final approved graduation list will be published between 17 and 20 April 2025. Graduands will receive a letter of invitation during that week, along with an attendance confirmation form. 

Students are advised to source their own graduation attire from a supplier of their choice. However, it is important to first consult the NUST Graduation Office or your Faculty to confirm the correct graduation hood colour. 

No. All graduands will attend the graduation ceremony at the campus where they are registered. 

Windhoek: Mecure Hotel : 8 and 9 May 2025 

Eenhana Satellite Campus: 15 May 2025 

Bachelor’s degree to PhD graduands: 2 guest tickets 

Postgraduate Certificate (NQF Level 7) graduands: 1 guest ticket 

Graduands must wear formal or traditional attire beneath their academic gowns. 

You are advised to arrive early on 08 and 09 May 2025 at MERCURE HOTEL and 15 May 2025 at EENHANA SATELLITE CAMPUS , with admission to the venue beginning at 06:00. 

Those who arrive at 07:00 or later, will not be allowed to enter the graduation hall, and will receive their qualifications IN ABSENTIA. 

Yes. All ceremonies will be live-streamed, and professional photographers will be available on site. 

Diploma NQF: 6 and below will graduate in absentia, with the exception of those graduating in Eenhana who may attend in person.

Collection of certificates for those who did not attend the ceremony will begin on Wednesday, 21 May 2025. 

All outstanding fees must be settled by 30 April 2025. Graduands who have not cleared their debts will be allowed to participate in the ceremony; however, their certificates will be withheld until all dues are paid.
