• No. This is an important distinction.
• The Notice of Expectation to Graduate simply informs NUST that the student expects to complete his requirements for the qualification. It does not constitute an invitation to the graduation ceremony. A formal invitation follows once the student qualifies.

• Submit it to the Faculty Officer of your respective Faculty. The form may also be submitted through NUST Reception, Satellite Campuses or Regional Centres.

• You should contact your Faculty Officer immediately. NUST regulations indicate that failure to submit the form may result in the student not being allowed to graduate at the expected ceremony.

• Yes. The ceremony will be live-streamed, and professional photographers will be available on site.

• No. Diploma graduates will graduate in absentia.

Certificates will be issued as follows:

• a. Immediately after the ceremony for those attending in person.
• b. From Tuesday, 13 October 2026 for those who graduated in absentia.

a. All outstanding fees must be settled by 30 September 2026.

b. Graduands who have not cleared their debts will be allowed to attend and participate in the ceremony; however, their certificates will be withheld until all dues have been paid.

Students are expected to collect their Guest Invitation Cards at the Examinations Department from Monday, 05 October 2026 to 08 October 2026 between 08:00 and 13:00. Note: Proof of identification is required. No invitation for guests will be issued to third parties.

Tickets will also be available at the graduation venue.

Generally, NO, if you cannot attend the ceremony immediately following the semester in which you qualify, your qualification is awarded in absentia rather than being deferred to a subsequent graduation ceremony.

Contact your Faculty Officer first. The graduation list depends on completion of the academic requirements and approval of results.

• Yes. Graduates who are unable to collect their certificates in person may authorise a representative by emailing certifications@nust.na
• The request must include the graduate’s full name, student number, qualification and date obtained, the authorised person’s full name, ID number and contact number, as well as a certified copy of the graduate’s ID. Or request their qualifications through the NUST satellite campuses or regional centers.
