She is currently reading towards Marketing qualification. Before assuming this role, Ambabi served as the NUST SRC for External Affairs. Her other current commitments include volunteering at the One Economy Foundation, and serving as Chairperson of the NUST Marketing Society.
The tall, kind and soft spoken Ambabi is no pushover. She is relentless about student issues and has already moved a motion to NUST management to make concessions about outstanding student debt, and registration relief for indebted senior students. The matter is currently being considered by management and a decision is expected as early as next week.
The well-known quote on leadership by Tim Rohn resonate with Ambabi states that; “The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humour, but without folly.”
Ambabi has pledged to both lead and serve NUST and its student community with integrity. She has emphasized that the 2023 SRC will fulfill its responsibility of enhancing student life on campus
