The NUST Health Services in conjunction with the Cancer Association of Namibia, will conduct a clinic on pap smear and breast examinations.
The objectives are to inform women that:
- Cervical cancer can be detected by a pap smear test and if diagnosed early, it can be cured
- Regardless of age or marital status, getting tested annually is necessary if one is sexually active
- Breast lumps can be treated, if detected early
- Testing can detect the type of infection present in the vagina
