The Department of Marketing and Communications (DMC) is the custodian of upholding the image of the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) and with the recent transformation continues to play a significant role in the rebranding of the new University.
Student recruitment is an important aspect of what we do, the department regularly participates in school career fairs and trade exhibitions to not only promote our university, but present opportunities for prospective students to benefit from personal contact with our staff. Prospective students are provided with relevant information about NUST, affording them an opportunity to make informed career choices.
In cooperation with all the NUST Faculties, Departments, Centres and other Units, the DMC facilitates institutional events, and thus maintains a sound relationship with members of the media. Furthermore, the department keeps the nation informed of NUST’s daily activities through the weekly NUST Brief, currently published in The Namibian newspaper.
