New Student Orientation Programme 2027

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) New Student Orientation Programme 2027 is designed to facilitate the successful transition of newly admitted students into university life. Transitioning from secondary school or other learning environments to higher education can be both exciting and challenging. The orientation programme aims to ease this transition by providing students with essential information, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting engagement with the university community.

Programme Structure

1. GENERAL ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Thursday, 4 February 2027 and Friday, 5 February 2027

The General Orientation Programme will serve as the official welcome platform for all newly admitted students. During these sessions, students will receive important information regarding:

  • University procedures and academic expectations
  • Student support services
  • Health and wellness resources
  • Financial assistance
  • Accommodation services
  • Library resources and digital learning platforms
  • Student governance structures
  • Campus safety
2. NEW STUDENT SOCIAL EVENT

Saturday, 6 February 2027

The New Student Social Event will provide an opportunity for students to build social connections and develop a sense of community outside the academic environment. Recognising that social integration is an important factor in student success and retention, the event will promote engagement among students from diverse backgrounds.

The social programme will include:

  • Entertainment and team-building activities
  • Interactive games
  • Student organisation exhibitions
  • Opportunities to network with peers and student leaders

The event aims to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to actively participate in campus life.
