2026 NUST Career Fair

Hundreds attend Career Fair

... in Windhoek and Eenhana

Rain or shine, hundreds of students and learners showed up for the Career Fair held earluer this week. The Engineering Basement at the Windhoek Lower Campus transformed into a dynamic hub of engagement, insight, and possibility. This year’s edition hosted over 30 exhibitors, with sponsorship support from CENORED and Trinitas Consulting Engineers, bringing together industry and academia in a meaningful way.

“Career fairs provide an opportunity for learners to explore various professions and engage with a variety of prospective employers. It is also an opportunity for employers to attract fresh talent, and in turn a chance for us as a university to show, once again, why you should choose NUST,” said Prof Andrew Niikondo, Acting Vice-Chancellor.

CENORED Chief Executive Officer, Fessor Mbango, encouraged students to view themselves as future leaders, underscoring the importance of actively engaging in platforms such as career fairs. He highlighted these events as essential spaces for showcasing skills, building networks, and enabling direct interaction with industry on internship and employment opportunities. “A career fair is a vital platform for skills display, networking opportunities, and where learners and students can interact directly with industries to discuss potential internship or employment opportunities.”

The NUST Career Guidance Practitioner, Michael Kisting, emphasised the broader impact of the initiative. “The Career Fair is about providing access, ensuring reach, and a deliberate effort to take opportunity where it is needed most. It also strengthens the connection between industries and the skills we are developing to ensure that our graduates remain relevant, competitive, and responsive to the needs of the labour market.”
