First Aid Short Course

The course runs over three days to provide participants with the basic understanding of common medical and trauma emergencies that they may encounter in the workplace or at home. The course further offers a guideline and practical training to manage these emergencies once identified and steps to take to ensure that the patient receives further medical care. 

Life-saving techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking and wound care for adults and children are emphasised as immediate first aid management that is key to survival in emergencies, these are all included in this course. The course includes a handbook that will be used throughout. 

Once completed, the participant will receive a certificate which is valid for three years.
