Biography:Professor Dipti Ranjan Sahu received his Doctoral, Master and Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Utkal University, India in the year 2003, 1995 and 1993 respectively. Prof. Sahu previously worked at Amity University, India, University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, National Taiwan University and Institute of Materials Science, India. He has been worked as research fellow, postdoctoral researcher, visiting scientist and fellow in several institutions of Germany, Taiwan, Russia, and India. Prof Sahu is a fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAW) in recognition of exceptional contribution to the field of science, engineering and technology, particularly in the realm of materials for multi-inter-transdisciplinary applications.
His research focus is on multifunctional materials including nanomaterials, ceramic, composites, spintronics, magnetic materials and application of functional materials in devices. He has made several very important innovative and original research contributions in the field for advancing applied physics/materials science in a broad interdisciplinary area.
He has research groups and collaborations with researchers in the USA, Germany, South Africa, Taiwan and India. Prof. Sahu has made over 220 scholarly contributions, including 90 peer-reviewed journal research papers,4 books, 6 book chapters and more than 120 in conference proceedings and meetings (h-index = 26 (Scopus); i10-index = 56; citation: 3179 as of October 2023). He is cited as number 1 researcher in Namibia University of Science and Technology for the year 2022 and 2023 according to AD world scientific index. He serves as a reviewer of many journals published by Elsevier, Springer, American Institute of Physics, Taylor & Francis, Institute of Physics, MDPI, Wiley, Nature publications and many more journals and has reviewed more than 300 articles for various journals like Nanotechnology. Applied Physics letters, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, Crystal growth and Design, Applied Surface Science and many more.
Professor Sahu was awarded as C1 rated researcher (2011-2016) by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa as well as being a grant holder of NRF funded projects. He is the recipient of many international awards such as Australian Research Council Fellowship, Spanish Government Excellence Research Fellowship, National Science Council Taiwan Fellowship and Council for Science and Industrial Research Fellowship in India include awards of best researcher from Institute of Materials Science and from conference as best poster and best oral presentations.
