Strategy Staff Attain International Professional Certifications
Three staff members from the Department of Corporate Strategy and Institutional Planning (CSIP) have attained internationally recognised professional certifications, further strengthening the University’s capacity to deliver on its strategic priorities.
Pehovelo Nghaamwa has been certified as a PROSCI Change Practitioner, equipping the University with globally recognised expertise in change management to support organisational transformation and the successful implementation of the Integrated Strategic Business Plan (ISBP) 2026–2030.
Johanna Mbandi and Helvi Mufeti have each earned certification as Balanced Scorecard Professionals, enhancing NUST's ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes, strengthen performance management, and promote evidence-based decision-making across the institution.
The newly acquired qualifications bolster the University's capabilities in strategy execution, organisational change, monitoring and evaluation, institutional performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
The Department acknowledged NUST, through the Department of Human Capital, for investing in staff development, noting that such investments build institutional capability, strengthen strategic leadership, and equip the University with the expertise required to achieve the goals of the ISBP 2026–2030.
