Namibia University of Science and Technology Excellence Team (NUST-ET)
BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Namibia University of Science and Technology Excellence Team (NUST-ET) is an academic motivational organisation founded in 15 October 2015 by Mr. Paulus Kalenga, a Bachelor student in Bachelor of Human Resources Management. NUST-ET is here for all students regardless of citizenship, (Ethnic group, race, status etc.)The organisation has National Branch (NUST Main campus), 3 Regional Branches (Kavango west, Kavango east and Khomas regional branch), schools, universities, colleges and VTCs are linked in that regional Branch for motivation, change and success to promote Unity and cooperation within academic institutions.
VISION STATEMENT
• Foster a strong academic community and provide opportunity for networking, student leadership, and participation to empower and support our students in their careers.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
• To establish positive study habits in students • Encourage team work and networking among students during examination and build network • Motivate students to study hard for their exams and to make excellence a habit. • To continuously initiate, encourage and support academic events of the institution. • To create a conducive study environment for all students. • To conduct academic research internally and externally and come up with recommendations to the NUST management.
IMPACT ON THE STUDENTS
• Students are motivated to study hard and perform well. • Students set their study habits to reach success. • Students work together and support each other. • Study skills workshops which help them a lot • Job hunting workshops, which help them to prepare and apply effectively prepare and apply once they graduate. • NUST-ET builds interpersonal relationship by taking out students for study camps, buddy camps with international students etc.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any student from Namibia University of Science and Technology (All courses and mode of studies) It’s also open to students from different schools, colleges, VTCs, Universities.
