NUST People-First Awards

International Human Resources Day - 20 May 2026

NUST People-First Awards

Welcome to the NUST People-First Awards nomination survey in celebration of International Human Resources Day on the 20th of May 2026.

These awards aim to recognise and celebrate staff members who demonstrate outstanding contributions to our workplace culture, service excellence, and impactful work behind the scenes.

For promoting a positive and respectful workplace culture.

An employee who actively promotes and models a positive workplace culture by demonstrating the organisation’s values, fostering respect, collaboration, and supportive interactions among colleagues.
This person consistently encourages and supports colleagues across teams, champions diversity, respect, and psychological safety, and helps build the morale and team spirit that make NUST a place people are truly proud to be part of.

For delivering outstanding service and exceeding expectations.

An employee who consistently delivers outstanding service, going above and beyond to meet the needs of clients, colleagues, or stakeholders while representing the organisation’s standards of excellence.
This person goes the extra mile to meet or exceed the needs of those they serve, maintains a positive and solution-focused attitude even under pressure, and is known for their reliability, responsiveness, and genuine care in every interaction.

For making a significant impact behind the scenes

An employee who consistently contributes exceptional work behind the scenes, making a significant impact without seeking recognition.
This person consistently delivers without needing praise or the spotlight, takes ownership of tasks others may overlook, and would be deeply missed if they stepped away, even if their impact isn't always visible.

You are invited to nominate colleagues whom you believe embody these qualities. Please note that all responses will remain confidential, and nominations will not be shared publicly. Your participation helps us highlight and appreciate the individuals who make a meaningful difference within the NUST community.
