Students studying towards an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree at NUST now have the opportunity to study a module in either Europe or a country in the SADC region. The visit is a new practise for HP-GSB, and the organisers anticipate many more visits of this nature.
The current and first EMBA cohort selected Berlin as their destination of choice.
During the attachment the students attended classes on Consumer Behaviour in Germany, Intercultural Management and Leadership, and Innovation and Growth in Companies and Regions, amongst others.
Moreover, the visit included tours of German companies where the students were given the opportunity to interact and network.
The visits included Siemens, the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe, and BMW, a vehicle and engine manufacturing company.
NUST has a partnership with BSEL, which was forged in 2013 after the School’s Vice President for International Affairs, Prof Dr Andreas Zaby, visited Namibia.
The two institutions have collaborated in a number of areas such as curriculum development, thus sharing experiences and knowledge in designing optimal programmes of study.
