CED meets industry needs

Nineteen (19) human resource professionals from different companies and organisations attended a one-day information sharing session hosted by NUST’s Centre for Enterprise Development (CED).

The session aimed at providing CED with a platform to engage with industry and assess areas in which skills need to be developed. The Centre facilitates standardised and tailor-made training initiatives, baseline research and strategies to alleviate poverty by developing the Namibian labour force.

In his opening remarks, Godwin Chisenga, the Director of CED underlined the need for constant cooperation between the Institution and industry, adding that there are plans to further strengthen ties in order to continuously develop trainings that are both relevant and of a high quality.

The companies that attended the event are: Roads Authority, Local Economic Development Agency, Standard Bank, Social Security Commission, Namibia Qualifications Authority, Namibia Training Authority, Business Connexion, Health Professions Council of Namibia, Wilderness Safari Namibia, Namibia Wildlife Resorts, City of Windhoek, Namibia Health Plan, Bank Windhoek, Government Institutions Pension Fund, Namibia Financial Institutions, Supervisory Authority, Motor Vehicle Accident Fund, National Commission on Research, Science and Technology, National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia, and Bank of Namibia.
