The launch featured speakers from industry who spoke on a series of topics ranging from ‘Overcoming Challenges in the Namibian Business Sector’ to ‘Personal Branding and Leadership and Management.’
Prof Grafton Whyte, Director of the School, said the Association will be managed by HP-GSB graduates and will serve as a stage for high-level networking. “It will be a think tank for developing solutions to industry and government problems. It will be a community of professionals enjoying lifelong relationships amongst fellow graduates and the School,” he remarked.
Whyte emphasised that it is logical for both the School and the graduates to nurture and continue this relationship throughout the graduate’s working life because education and learning are lifelong pursuits. The School has already been interacting with its alumni, inviting them to a number of events, including pre-graduation celebrations, in attempts to engage with this important stakeholder group in an effective way.
