The course, which aimed to equip students with the scarce and highly sought-after ERP skills, was jointly sponsored by SAP and DEG (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH) in a partnership involving ten key universities across sub-Saharan Africa. More than 170 NUST students have been trained so far.
Students are awarded the valuable SAP UA ‘ES Fundamentals Certificate of Proficiency’ upon successful completion of the ES Fundamentals examination at the end of the course, which is facilitated by SAP certified lecturers.
Josphat Mukabi, the Project Coordinator at NUST, said one more group will be trained under the sponsored phase before year-end. “As from 2017, we plan to offer SAP’s advanced specialised modules targeted at Computer Science, Informatics, Industrial Engineering and Accounting students,” he announced.
