Namibia to host physics school

Namibia was selected by the International Organising Committee (IOC) of the African School of Physics (ASP), to host a three-week school next year in July. The School will be jointly organised by the National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST), NUST and the University of Namibia. Professor Dharm Singh Jat, from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, and Mr Andrew Zulu, from the Faculty of Engineering, are representing NUST staff on the Local Organising Committee. Biennially, ASP organises schools in different African countries to create a networking platform for African physics students and lecturers. Applications may be submitted between 1 November 2017 and 28 February 2018. Participation is free and interested persons should visit www.africanschoolofphysics.org
